hey there. have a 5-6 year old moen kitchen faucet, single handle. i'd guess it was cheapest one the builder could find.

anyway, it's leaking from the bottom. often the cuff will raise, and the water just pours out. any suggestions?

in addition, any idea how i can find out what model faucet i have to try to get the old specs?

thanks

Moen Kitchen Faucet

The faucet cartridge is most likely the one picture here, number 1225.
There may be some o-rings to replace under the faucet spout, depending on the style faucet you have and the area where the water is leaking from. Moen's homepage has a lot of info.
...The parts are probably covered under warranty but they are also cheap enough to purchase at a plumbing supply house or good hardware store.

i recently changed the cartridge (6-8 mos ago)

i just found the model online (87130). The leak comes out from below the spout (the spout moves up and down when the water is turned on full blast).

As a result do you think its the diverter or do i simply change bearing washer?

thanks
