Toilet Flush Help

Once I flush my toiler, the entire tank flushes, meaning that the toilet flushes itself 3 times. Please recommend what can be done to fix this, also please recommend what I should purchase to fix this myself

yes, it is the wrong flapper get the proper one for your toilet. also fluidmaster has a dial a flush flapper that is adjustable
