On installing a new c.i toilet flange do you think it is better to twist the oakum before you tamp it in or just jam it in?

Hello Canton,

I hope that you get some help on this issue. If you don't, make another post requesting help. I can give you the phone number of an old-timer who owns a plumbing supply house and is a helpful person. He has done lead and oakum joints on just about any size pipe up to 24" diameter.
