I'm starting a basement remodel, and I've been toying with the idea of adding a kitchenette with a sink along a diagonal wall. Problem is, how do I drain it? My basement is different than most. For example...
(See attached image as I explain this)
I know how I'm going to build the bathroom. I have sink, toilet and tub rough-ins for the bathroom, but the sewer pipe draining out of the house is actually above the basement floor. Therefore the sewage goes into a nearby pit, which I will have to install a pump in order to pump out the sewage. So far so good.
Now the kitchenette. The sink would be a little way from that pit. Even if I do run a pvc tube to drain into the pit, what is the proper way to drain into it? And how do I properly vent that kitchenette sink, along with the bathroom sink, toilet & tub?
Please tell me I don't have to dig up concrete. No books I've read explain what to do in a situation like this.
