Handle Puller problem

I have a shower faucet (single handle) that has the set screw on the side. The brand is Price Pfister. The handle pullers I see are designed for handles with the set screw in the front. How do I get the handle off in this case? (It's stuck pretty hard.) Am I missing something?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Just have to work it back and forth, if all else fails, if something breaks, well there are replacement parts you can get.
