Hello.

I have a toilet leak that I'm hoping to be able to fix without a plumber, but my knowledge of toilets is very small. I have one of those industrial type toilets with no tank and when it is flushed it leaks water out of the pipe. I realize this isn't the most vivid description so I've attached a picture with an arrow at the spot of the leak. It only drips when it flushes, and other than that the toilet works fine. Does anyone know if this is an easy fix, or do I need a professional?

Thanks so much in advance.

You need a vacuum breaker repair kit. This is readily available at a supply house, but not at the box stores. If the valve is a Sloan, eg. Royal or Regal detailed instructions and parts list are available at www.sloanvalve.com

As well, buy yourself a set of toothless (smooth jaw) channel lock pliers - they will allow you to loosen and re-tighten the chrome nuts without marring them...
You can get them at HD...

Or you can get a Sloan Royal repair wrench that has all the wrench you need to take apart and put it back together. Look it up at a Sloan site....
