damn leaking faucet!

hello everyone,
i have a small problem which for me is becoming a biggy. my kitchen sink tap keeps dripping drops and im not sure how to stop it. its leaking from the nozzle where water is supposed to come out you know, not from anywhere it shouldnt come out of. but the tap is indeed turned off. its like a drip every second coming out. is it a matter of tightening something or more?

It is a matter of replacing a washer or cartridge or seats and springs OR if it is old enough replacing the whole faucet. You decide.

Since it seems like you are not familiar with how a faucet works, I would suggest you call a plumber. He will be able to fix the problem one way or another quickly for you.
