We have just converted a bathtub to a standing shower and when we installed the shower head and handle, we eliminated the spout, when we turn the water on it takes a few second for the water to come out, and when we turn it off the water drips for a few minuted, should we have installed the spout to prevent this? We used the Price Pfister rain shower, don't know the model number. Any suggestions??

Are you talking about a hand held shower connected to where the spout was?

Converted Bathtub to showr

No, the shower head is mounted on the wall, originally, it was a 3 piece unit, shower head, handle, and spout, now it is only 2, shower head and handle.

There is not a lot you can easily do at this point. Shower heads will drip some and some more than others depending on the design. If you had left the tub spout in it would have looked kind of funny in a shower.

Thanks for your reponse, do you know if there are setups designed for this type of setup?

One thing that comes to mind is there is a small valve that can be installed between the end of the shower arm and the shower head. It has a little button that you push to close it and this doesn't allow water beyond that point. It may or may not help. You would have to push the button back B4 taking a shower.
