I recommend and use mostly Delta and Moen faucets. American Standard, Price Pfister, Kholer, and Grohe are some other good brands. I try to stay away from the "unkown" brands and most of the imports. You have to keep in mind the warranty and the availability of repair parts in the future. I believe Delta and Moen both have stood the test of time and are still making new designs of faucets that use the same cartridges / stems that they been using for many years. Where as several other manufacturers seem to be releasing a new style of faucet and new style of cartridge for it each year.
Stick with one of the common bigger brand names that manufacturers the style of faucets you like. I believe all of them, or at least most of them have lifetime warranties against leaks and some of their finishes.

Nice thing about Moen - they stand behind their warrantee. If the cartridge ever leaks, take it in to HD and they will trade you for a new replacement cartridge free of charge - no questions asked - no receipts required. At least they do where I live. Impossible to beat that! :)
